Different baby shower etiquette's are followed in different part of the world. Places where the baby shower event is not traditional one there also people are adopting it and enjoying it. It’s a good idea to make the would-be mom comfortable.

Baby shower is traditionally organized in the Africa, Asia, and Latin America although it is exhibited in many other parts of the world. The idea behind the baby shower is to ease the would-be mom of anxiety of labor and delivery by creating a supporting and caring environment and by showing that people care for her and are ready to fulfill her baby’s needs once the baby is born. It is usual for people to shower the would-be mom with gifts for her baby.

In some countries only friends and coworkers organize the baby shower while in others the close relative hold the similar event for the mom-to-be with certain rituals but the idea remaining the same to ease the would-be mom. In most parts of the India, baby shower event is witnessed in the seventh months of pregnancy and it is organized by family members, and is generally, all women event.

When friends and coworkers host the baby shower party, they need to send the invitation card to the couple for whom it is organized and also to the other guests. It is great to know that people are so caring for you and your baby which is the message conveyed by the baby shower party. Some of the common baby shower gifts are baby toys, baby clothes, baby blanket etc.

In some communities, any purchasing or celebration for unborn baby is not considered auspicious so in such communities no such event as baby shower before the birth of the baby is witnessed in any form. Instead they have their celebration only when the baby is born.
