Each couple liked to have a healthy pregnancy. Efforts are necessary for healthy pregnancy. The couple have to start for healthy pregnancy not at the time of pregnancy but before the pregnancy when you have not conceived and thinking of being pregnant. Both the parent has to contribute their best in pregnancy planning. To have a healthy pregnancy is not so easy. A proper time and planning is needed.

Healthy pregnancy comes from healthy body. For this it is necessary to become both the partner healthy. Both of them must be physically and mentally healthy, so that their baby would also be healthy.

Healthy body starts from healthy lifestyle. Healthy lifestyle includes healthy and nutritious diet, regular exercise, weight control, comfortable dresses and avoiding some harmful substances. Eat nutritious and fresh food. Your diet must include fibber and folic acid. Do proper exercise if doctor advises you. Keep your weight under control by good food and exercise. Always wear dresses which are comfortable to you and at the same time good looking also. Your good looks enhance your confidence level. Avoid excessive intake of tea and coffee. Avoid smoking, alcohol, drugs, fried food, etc which are harmful to you. Avoid exposure to harmful substances. But whatever you do or not do first consult your doctor and then follow their advice.

Major obstruction in healthy pregnancy is diabetes and high or low blood pressure. It’s very important to have the normal sugar and blood pressure level at the time when you are planning to have a baby. Not only this mother’s sugar level and blood pressure level must be under control during pregnancy to avoid any abnormalities in the baby. Various tests if necessary should be done like a pap smear and an Rh factor test.

Consult your doctor before pregnancy if both of you or any of you are taking medicine. If necessary and not harmful for your pregnancy they will advise you to continue it otherwise they suggest you to avoid those medicines. Apart from this if you are using any contraceptives then, stop using it to conceive as soon as possible.

Take care of your mind and body. Your mind and body are dependent on each other. If you have healthy mind, then you have healthy body. Similarly, if you have healthy body, then you have healthy mind. And both healthy body and mind will give you a healthy pregnancy. You can care your body by eating properly, drinking properly and exercising properly. Take proper diet, drink as much as water as you can and exercise daily as advised by your doctor. Take proper rest. You can take care of your mind by relaxing through meditation, low work pressure and no stress. Take no stress and be relaxed. Always live in a cheerful environment. Happiness of both of the parent is very important for good mental health. You can also relax yourself by listening music, reading books and magazines related to pregnancy. If you have any other hobbies which make you feel good then enjoy it. So, do whatever you can do to relax your body and mind.

You may feel some changes inside your body during pregnancy. It’s not abnormal. To have a healthy pregnancy you have to live with these changes and gradually with a proper planning you would start enjoying your pregnancy. The important thing is to relax and be normal. Healthy pregnancy is a key of happiness. So, just enjoy your pregnancy and be cool.
