- Choose the best time for conceiving with the help of your doctor’s advice. Your ovulation cycle help you in choosing the best time for your pregnancy. Conception occurs though fertilization of egg of female and sperm of male which came in contact during sexual intercourse. This fertilisation forms a cell with 46 chromosomes. It moved towards uterus from the fallopian tubes. Now the uterus is home for the fetus for next nine months. So, choose time when you are fit both mentally and physically.
- Do proper exercise as per the experts’ advice. It will keep your body healthy before pregnancy so that you would conceive a healthy baby. Take proper rest and avoid any strain and hard work.
- plan your diet properly in pregnancy planning stage. Nutritive diet is first requirement for healthy body. Both of the parents must avoid smoking, alcohol and drug. Avoid fried foods also. They should also avoid any contact with hazardous materials like pesticides and solvents. Doctors generally recommend vitamins and folic acid supplement to reduce the birth defects during pregnancy.
