There are some rules of exercise during pregnancy. It is for the safety of pregnancy to follow these rules before performing exercise during pregnancy. You are aware of the fact that pregnancy exercises can be done under doctor’s supervision. Why this is important. The reason is the rules that are necessary for a safe and secure pregnancy. Exercise during pregnancy is done to keep mother and baby fit. So, it is also important that the advised pregnancy exercises must be safe and can be done safely.
Exercise increases mother’s stamina and reduces her delivery problems to some extent. But you should do moderate exercises. What are the rules of exercise during pregnancy? these rules are:
- Either you have a planned pregnancy or sudden pregnancy, always consult your health provider before stating your pregnancy exercises.
- If you have no problem and experts advised you for the particular exercises then start exercising with the news of conception without any delays.
- Be sure that you do not have problems of vaginal bleeding, membrane’s premature breaking and preterm labor symptoms. If you have vaginal bleeding then immediately consult your doctor as it is not common and can be cured urgently. Pregnancy exercises are not recommended in such cases. If there is any preterm labor symptoms then exercises are not recommended or light exercises are recommended at moderate level. You can do light aerobic, ware aerobic or slow walking in such cases of pregnancy.
- After first trimester of pregnancy, do not lie flat on your stomach or on the back during exercise.
- Avoid sports like basketball, soccer, gymnastics, fast running, weight lifting, etc, during pregnancy.
- Go for the slow start in the beginning as it can cause muscles pain and put extra pressure on your body. Start with only five to ten minutes of exercises in a day and follow this pattern for at least three days in a week.
- More risky situation is the last trimester of pregnancy with lager abdominal area where even regular works are not comfortable to do. In this stage special care is required during pregnancy. So, another rule of exercise during pregnancy is to maintain balance of body in third trimester of pregnancy.
- One of the most important rules of exercise during pregnancy is to wear comfortable apparels and shoes. Go for the dresses which are comfortable and can be easily managed.
- Avoid all jerky movements.
- Keep record of your heart beat as it must not exceed 140 beats per minute during pregnancy exercise.
- Do not hold your breath during exercise in pregnancy.
- Rules of exercising approximately remain same as here also pregnancy exercise means warming up your body.
- This is also very important to drink lot of water for better metabolism and exercising.
